EAST COAST ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED
East Coast Energy Private Limited (ECEPL) is in the process of developing a Coal based Thermal Power Plant near Kakarapalli Village, Santhabommali Mandal, Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, India.
The plant is envisaged to be developed in two stages with an ultimate generation capacity of 2640 MW. Each stage is planned with a capacity of 1320 MW having two units of 660 MW. Site location and planning and all statutory approvals have been obtained for these two stages.
The stage-I of the plant is expected to be commissioned in a period of 45 months from financial closure and stage-II is expected to be commissioned in 12 months thereafter. Financial closure of Stage 1 of the was achieved in Sept. 2010

Statutory clearance obtained.
- Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) signing is expected by June, 2011. ECEPL has signed Fuel Supply Agreement for supply of imported coal with Global Fuels Pte. Ltd. for 30% of the fuel required.
- Bulk Power Transmission Agreement for 1320 MW was signed with PGCIL on 5th July, 2010.
- Long Term Power Purchase Agreement has been signed with PTC India Limited. LoI for 200 MW received from PCKL.
- Contract Agreement for Boiler – Turbine - Generator (BTG) Supply has been signed with Dongfang Electric Company (DEC), Republic of China. BoP contract has been signed with M/s Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd.
- Financial Closure: Total debt has been tied up. Documentation for common loan agreement is in progress.
