Mr. Chari is presently Senior Advisor to IDFC. He has been associated with the fruition of IDFC as the first Public Private Partnership institution of its kind in India. Under his guidance, IDFC has successfully established its credentials in infrastructure finance and development.

Mr. Chari has been instrumental in taking IDFC through several strategic initiatives in energy, telecom and IT, integrated transportation and urban infrastructure.

Prior to joining IDFC in May 1999, Mr. Chari was with Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI), the largest FI in India, for nearly three decades. He was part of several key assignments in IDBI, including heading the Infrastructure Group of the institution.
